Manual Machinist - 2nd and 3rd Shift

There are 2 openings per shift.
- 2nd shift- 3:30PM – 11PM
- 3rd shift- 10:30PM – 7AM
Pay: $22/hr. - $28/hr. (They will need to be highly skilled and check every box to get more than $28/hr. though.)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in a mechanical/electrical field preferred
- 3+ years of related machining or mechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and training
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Proficient in basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, tolerances, and measurements
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in non-standard situations
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong sense of urgency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of machining equipment including manual lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, welders, and balancing equipment
- Perform machining tasks such as turning, milling, threading, boring, drilling, grinding, and dynamic balancing
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machining and assembly of components
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.) to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick, Oxy-Acetylene) and metal spray processes as needed
- Document measurements, calculations, and work performed in accordance with company standards
- Maintain a safe work environment while operating equipment and completing assigned tasks
