As a business head for Blue Ocean Ventures, a recruitment business, Fahad Mistry has much to handle. His many tasks include calling his account managers to find out which requirements are most important, relaying these details to his team succinctly, and delegating the recruitment process steps to the rest of his team.
This all can be a lot to handle for any talent acquisition agency. To be as efficient as possible for the company, Fahad manages offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Bangalore, India. “We work with two strategic verticals. This way we can approach different technical jobs efficiently,” Fahad said.
Despite all these efforts at efficiency, Blue Ocean Ventures always experienced the typical recruitment agency struggles.
“There are a lot of agencies out there. Thus, the chances of your recruitment business sticking out are slim. This can create challenges when trying to work with a good amount of quality clients.”
Fahad also explained how focusing on these sales and marketing efforts as well as “bringing the best quality and turnaround time” could be a strain on his resources.
Blue Ocean Ventures was first introduced to Reflik through one of the platform’s email campaigns. Initially, Fahad was skeptical of the platform and did not feel comfortable using it. He was quickly reassured after jumping on a conference call with David, Reflik’s community manager, who walked Fahad through everything on the platform.
“After speaking with David, I learned how the platform worked and my efforts on it became natural.”
Fahad is very thrilled with the ease and clarity that the platform’s automation brings to his recruiting efforts. With the platform, he does not have to worry about “sticking out” from other agencies and bringing on clients to work with Blue Ocean, but instead can focus solely on recruiting.
Jobs are clearly filtered by industry, so delegating tasks to different parts of Fahad’s team is a lot easier. He also loved that the platform helps Blue Ocean and their candidates track the progress of a submission at every step of the way.
“Being able to track our progress and having a clear line of communication with the client makes for a very efficient recruiting process. I know that I can call any of the account managers at Reflik and get my questions about a client’s jobs answered immediately.”
The platform itself is not the only thing that Fahad felt was very smooth. “The descriptions of the roles are crystal clear. Which makes it so much easier for us to source and target the perfect candidates.
“I love the way the details are provided, too, whether it is the insights, updates, or job descriptions. All these little things give us more motivation to keep working on the platform.”
It now has been four months since Blue Ocean Ventures has joined Reflik, and Fahad told us “it is an important source of revenue” for the company.
“There is nothing holding Reflik back from being one of the best and most used portals for recruiting,” he said.
